In addition to meeting in our collaborative teams, talking about data, and learning how we can best help our students, we played some Halloween games, enjoyed some tasty Halloween treats, and had a costume contest! We missed the students but we sure had fun!

RJHS Student Council will host a GLOW Dance this Friday, November 4, 2022! The dance will be from 6pm-8pm in the RJHS Gym Tickets: $3.00 at the door Concessions will be sold. Glow sticks and accessories will be sold!


October is National Principals Month and we want to spotlight one of our Assistant Principals at RJHS, Mrs. Hope Statham! Mrs. Statham has been in education for 12 years. Her favorite part of being a principal is connecting with students and families! We are PROUD to call Mrs. Statham a Whirlwind! #whirlwindPROUD #ForwardRSD


Today, Whirlwind Cheer won 1st place in the 5A Game Day Cheer Division, Grand Champ aka Highest Score of all the Jr. High Game Day Cheer teams, and Best Fight Song! What a way to start the competition cheer season!! Go Whirlwinds!!

Happy Thursday Whirlwinds!
We will have our 1st 9 weeks Awards Assembly tomorrow morning, Friday, October 28, 2022. The 8th grade awards will start at 8:10 followed by the 9th grade awards at 8:55. Parents are welcome to attend. Please enter the building through the front office and receive a visitors pass.


Madeline Clements and Audrey Rogers had a 1st and 2nd place finish in their Poetry performance this weekend at their Forensics Tournament. They went up against Fayetteville, Don Tyson School of Innovation, and Springdale Har-Ber! Way to go ladies!

This week, students in their 8th grade English classes immersed themselves in a gallery walk to learn about historical context before they begin their next novel unit.

Mrs. Shamsie is one of our school Counselors. She loves all things Harry Potter and she loves our RJHS therapy dog, Phoenix!
She never fails to give a student a compliment or encouraging word.

The RJHS Flu Clinic will be on Friday, October 28, 2022. Students should have received their flu forms last week. If you would like your child to receive the flu vaccine, please fill out the form and return it to the office, before next Friday.
