🎉 Congratulations to the RJHS 9th grade Family & Consumer Sciences students in Mrs. Mitchell's class for earning their Financial Literacy Certifications! These students gained valuable real-world knowledge in budgeting, savings and checking accounts, credit and debit basics, smart spending habits, insurance, and financial aid. 🎉Coach Quoss has been named the Friends of Arkansas Quiz Bowl Overall Senior High Coach of the Year! 🏆 Coach Quoss continues to inspire and lead the RSD High School Quiz Bowl team. This season was nothing short of extraordinary: ✅ 77-4 overall record ✅ 10 tournament wins – including 9 invitationals and the State Championship last Saturday (our 9th consecutive state title!) ✅ National Champions at the 2024 National Academic Challenge ✅ 3 All-Region players ✅ 4 All-State players – Sarah Shoptaw, Gidian Fuller, Keegan Fuller, and Ian Warnick ✅ Winners of both the Arkansas History Bowl & History Bee! 🏅 I Believe in RSD Award: Coach Casey Spradlin, Russellville Middle School Teacher and Coach Coach Spradlin was awarded an I Believe in RSD Award in April. " I have many family members who have been in Education. Teachers, Coaches and Administration. I also had many coaches throughout my time in Athletics tell me that I should go into teaching and coaching. I have been blessed to play a small part in this district. As I have progressed through the years, I feel that we, teachers/coaches who have been around need to pass on information that we have pieced up to the younger teachers and coaches. I have had the opportunity to teach at RMS now for many years. Without a doubt, this staff works long extra hours to help each and every student get the best education in the state. We all work together for each student. We also have an amazing staff. From our maintenance/custodial to our teachers/administration staff. It truly is a family!
