Haven Harrington, a 4th grade student at Sequoyah Elementary School, was honored as an Empathetic Leader by Haley Jackson and Mr. Kordsmeier.
Haven was nominated by her 4th grade teacher, Ms. Sheh, for being an Empathetic Leader. Haven consistently uplifts and encourages her classmates, creating a positive and caring environment for those around her. Ms. Sheh shared that Haven “leads with quiet confidence and genuine kindness.”
Through the way she treats others, Haven demonstrates that great leadership stems from deeply caring about the people around you. Her compassion, kindness, and encouragement make a meaningful difference in her classroom and serve as an example to her classmates. Haven is a wonderful example of an empathetic leader who leads not by seeking attention, but by caring for and uplifting others.
